About Australian Professional Inspection Services |
What makes us stand out from the others?
"All the electronic gadgetry in world is no match for real knowledge & knowledge from a passionate team of customer-oriented building inspectors. I guess that's the APIS difference in a nutshell."
In 1996 a new building and pest inspection company began in Queensland, Australia.
From the outset Greg Uebergang decided his business would deliver a service to his customers that would be:
- Fast - both in response times and turnaround times;
- Reliable - to turn up on time every time as agreed.
- Accurate. Time and again he'd heard of instances where electronic gadgetry had missed out on vital problems in the structure of buildings. Instead, APIS inspectors MUST have an absolute understanding of how to locate problems relying on proven methods that work every time.
- Honest and open with customers. If something is promised, it's delivered.
- Comprehensive. A report is next to useless unless it covers the depth and breadth of an APIS Inspection Report.
- Profitable for clients. Whether you're buying or selling real estate in any capacity, you need to be sure your money is well spent. An APIS inspection report is designed to leave nothing to chance, meaning peace-of-mind for APIS customers.
- Independent. Although real estate offices and legal firms benefit greatly from recommending APIS to clients, it has no affiliation with any particular franchise, office or firm. This means buyers and sellers can trust the integrity of an APIS report.
The point about accuracy is this...
When it comes to locating pests and structural damage, you'll come across terms like 'infra-red thermal imaging' 'microwave termite detection units', 'latest tracking equipment' and any number of other seemingly hi-tech gadgets.
But none of these can provide an accurate determination on the existence of problems in your home.
What's the solution then?
The answer is a keen eye, a commitment to investigating and unearthing any problems by taking the time and care to find them, and knowledge.
"I remember once arriving at a home where a young man told me a major pest inspection firm had given him a report on the state of his home. The report said all was well. But he had asked me for a second opinion as he was not entirely happy with the company's report.
Then I started checking the sub-floor but I hadn't even crawled under when I found evidence of termite damage. After extensive examination of the property we also found termites between the brick base and the engaged pier, as well as inside the house itself.
Visual inspections, experience and common sense will always beat gadgetry!
